CAN MANDALAS STOP THINKING?
'Thinking' can be confusing, and often I can get lost in my thoughts. Literally. Through making a mandala I have discovered a different way to communicate with 'myself' that is free from what I think. (now that is a relief)
The mandala process has become for me is a powerful and effective way to connect with and express my feelings, ideas, emotions and 'knowing'. My thoughts and consequently words are simply not enough to express what I know/sense deep within my core.
My thoughts often tend toward being right or wrong or go on and on about the same thing, but my creative expression is open to possibilities - there is no right or wrong which gives me the potential to explore deeper into understanding my self.
There are feelings that I cannot even 'think' about clearly but I definitely FEEL and know them. Mandala art can give me access to that and when I am painting/creating a mandala I am not thinking. It is awesome!
I could say that making mandalas is a process to connect and create with ‘oneness’.
